The Missions Ministry Team is looking for people who might be interested in hosting visiting missionaries that need overnight accommodations.
If you would love to serve in this way, call the office!
We need people committed to praying daily for our schools, teachers, principals, school boards, and superintendents. We also need people who are willing to write notes of encouragement to these people and to drop them off at the Church Office so they can be delivered.

Changes of clothes are needed to have in the nursery for any child who might need them while in our care. Pants & leggings in toddler sizes are what is needed most.

The Faithbridge Library needs volunteers who can serve once a month on Sunday mornings, your duties will include:
-Checking in & out books, plus filing.
-Utilizing the library computer software (not difficult to learn).

Volunteers are needed to be added to a list to take an occasional meal to someone in our church who is recovering from surgery, sick, just had a baby or has suffered a loss. Call the church office to sign up!
The Nursery is always looking for more volunteers during 1st and 2nd service and faith classes. Talk to the office if interested.
community opportunities
The ARCC (Akeley Regional Community Center) Emergency Shelter would be interested in volunteers who would like to help with fundraising. As an enduring need for the shelter, fundraising needs creativity. Please call the office if you would like to serve in this way!
Living At Home in Park Rapids provides transportation services and respite care for seniors living in the area. The transportation needs vary from week to week. Respite care can become a regular enjoyable visit with a senior in their home.
An application process is needed to volunteer.

The Hubbard County Food Shelf is in need of drivers willing to pick up groceries from local grocery stores, as well as help restocking their shelves and other various needs. If you would like to serve in this way, please call the office or contact Bob Hansen.

Requirements: Fill out a Senior Volunteer Program application and have proof of identity & 2 hour civil rights and data privacy training. (Recommend volunteer shadowing for 3-7 hours in area/s considering participating in.)
Specific Needs:
- Register clients, then help in the distribution of food for those clients
- Pick up groceries from local grocery stores
- Assist produce manager – inspecting, sorting, stocking, and storing items received from local grocery stores
- Restock shelves
- General cleaning: shelves, refrigerators, coolers, freezers, bathrooms
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 9am-4pm – 4 individuals every week for above jobs

Any day of the week between 8AM and 7PM, Heritage would enjoy people who want to sit and visit with residents for any amount of time. People who can play piano, guitar, and/or sing for entertainment are welcome anytime. Once a month birthday party help would be especially welcome. If you would like to serve in this way, call the office and we will get you in touch with the Life Enrichment Director at Heritage!
Reading the Bible to residents would be an activity that could be done anytime throughout the day for residents at Diamond Willow. Musical entertainment (of all types) is welcome, too. If you would like to serve in this way, call the office and we will get you in touch with the Diamond Willow Coordinator!
The Park Rapids Library could really use some help shelving books on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons plus other various needs. If you feel compelled to love our library in this way please call the office or contact Jodi Schultz.

Requirements: Fill out a volunteer application before volunteering.
Specific Needs:
- Shelving books on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday afternoons.
- Shelf reading (making sure there is order on the shelves) anytime Library is open.
- Occasional special projects: sporadic and varied – moving furniture, running movie projector, helping with programs and events, counting people for stats week.
- Hugs for Hands and Heads Tree – a tree covered with new or gently used hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves for anyone to take. This is used a lot! More donations are always welcomed. This is a quiet service in an out-of-the-way place so people don’t feel embarrassed taking something. The tree will be taken down the end of March and put back up next November.
The Akeley Regional Community Center Thrift Store needs help processing and organizing donations. Donated items need to be priced and placed on the sales floor. Please call the office if you would like to serve in this way!
Kinship of the Park Rapids Area needs volunteers for their Youth Mentoring Program and also the Reading Buddies Program which takes place during the School Year. For more information or to sign up, contact Molly at Kinship.
